It's hard to believe that the majority of my video work has been dedicated to one of my deepest passions: music. In 2010, I was fortunate enough to land a video internship with a local radio powerhouse, KEXP. Since that time, I have recorded hundreds of bands and performances until I left as an employee in 2016. I will always donate my time to this great organization and I will never forget the time that I spend there. KEXP allowed me to grow as a camera operator and continues to help me excel in the world of live videography.
My experience as KEXP was not solely behind the camera, but also lighting a studio and in an editing suite. It's in the edit that you learn more about how to shoot efficiently and how to adapt the next time you are shooting. Having multicam experience gave me a better eye and better control of shooting in a live environment.
Below are several examples of work I did with KEXP.
